10-30-2013 Let's work on our game boards.

Today, you will work on your game to get it ready for game play.

I will pass out the rest of your supplies.

You will need to type up your rules on one Google Doc.  Make it pretty!  Add images if you like.  Then we will print them on cardstock.

If you need "money" for your game, Google Search it and create it on a Doc and we will print it.

Any Docs or images you need for your game need to be turned in to Ms. Rickard here.

10-28-2013 Make Up Day!

I updated your grades over the weekend.  Check Power School for the update and make up/finish those assignments if you need to.

1.  FEEDBACK FORM:  Many of you still need to INSERT YOUR GAME DESIGN FORM INTO YOUR WEBSITE under STEAM.  Click here for the assignment.  Do that assignment.
(students who have completed this assignment are:  Shelley, Jenna B, Jerry, Eva, Liliana, Layla, Faye)

Here is a fabulous example of what it should look like.

2.  WEBSITE WELCOME.  Many of you need to write your WELCOME GREETING on the home page of your website.  Please do not use personal information like your last name, phone number, address.

Here is a great example of what it should look like.  Don't copy.  Do your own!  Make it your own!

3.  RAPID PROTOTYPE REFLECTION on your website.  Click here and scroll to the bottom of the page for your assignment.

PLEASE EMAIL ME WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED THESE ASSIGNMENTS OR THEY WILL NOT BE REGRADED.

If you have finished the above assignments:
Today for STEAM, your team will search for images online for your team's board game.

To search for images you will:
1.  Find a picture.    Use this website for pictures:  Pics4Learning
2.  Save it to your desktop.
3.  Upload it into your Google Drive Steam folder.
4.  Copy the URL into the Turn In.  Check here for the turn in.

Ms. Rickard will print it on the color printer in the library.

Early finishers:

Do Ignition for 20 minutes (not the game, the lessons).  Click here.

For the last 20 minutes you can play

Website Welcome
Today we will work on our website home page.  A homepage is the first thing people see when they look at your webpage.

A homepage should introduce people to you and let them know the purpose for the website.

What are some purposes for websites?

What is the purpose of our student websites?

What are some things we need to include on our home page?

What are things we DON'T want on our website?
